Passeggiare per le strade del centro storico è estremamente affascinante per la galleria di murales che decorano le facciate delle case tra i vicoli, sensazioni che riportano al passato e profumi di piatti tradizionali che accompagnano il percorso lungo le case davanti le quali vengono sapientemente esposti, su classiche sedie impagliate, i prodotti tipici dei sapori dimenticati.

Nei ristoranti di Ustica, oltre all'ottimo pesce ed ai saporiti piatti della cucina siciliana, non perdetevi le più piccole lenticchie d'Italia che, essendo coltivate su terreni vulcanici, hanno un sapore molto particolare. La sera, nella piazzetta del paese, è d'obbligo gustare le granite, la cassata siciliana, i cannoli e le impareggiabili cassatelle ed i gigi, dolci tradizionali ed esclusivi dell'Isola.

The Small Town

It is fascinatine and pleasant to stroll through the streets of the town center murales decorate the exteriors of the houses; sensations that take the visitor in the narrow alleys in front of houses that very cleverly exhibit the local products on classical straw coverei chairs. In the typical restaurentes of Ustica , besides the excellent fish and full-flavoured Sicilian dishes, a must for the visitor are “the smallest lentils of Italy”, cultivated on lava soil with a very distinctive taste.

In the small town squame the visitor sitting at one of cafès must taste the “Granita” the “cassata siciliana”, the “cannoli” and the unrivalled “cassatelle end gigi”, the traditional and exclusive Sweets of the islands.
